It feels good to know that we are moving forward! Last night we were able to meet with our Attorney to go through what to expect during our journey to adopt. He gave us a lot of great information and we're pleased to be working with such a knowledgeable and kind-hearted man. We have also started the process of doing the required home study.
Now we are in the process of waiting to see who God provides as a birth mother. Our Attorney advised us there are many ways to find a birth mother. We could find her through churches or pregnancy centers, but he said most come from friends or friends of friends. So as we move forward, we are asking our friends & family to keep their eyes and ears open and if they come across someone in a situation where they are wishing to place their baby up for adoption, please have them contact us. Though it might not lead to our adoption, every lead is a good one. Our prayer is that along this journey we will touch lives, through our story, through our love for people, through our experience of being a single mom and adoptive dad, just anyway in which we can glorify God and help others along the way.
